My Name is Ana Smith.
I remember the first time I wanted to animate. I was little and watching The Beauty and The Beast, the dance sequence captivated me and inspired me to try and make it myself. Another film that inspired me to want to be an animator/film maker was The Nightmare Before Christmas. I was excited to make something inanimate come alive, so when I turned 16 I found an animator who gave private classes in mexico city and started taking history in animation and learning about the different techniques used. Sadly I never got to finish my time with him, but the first time I made a ball bounce across a screen I knew I had found my calling in life.

I studied Animation and Visual Effects with a minor in Film at New Mexico State University. I did this while swimming for the university. I have recently graduated from Central Saint Martins UAL with an MA in Character Animation.
